​The Makeup Kit of an American Blonde Beauty is a senior project directed and written by Mala Neuman. It uses text from her poem to tell a story about  American and Iranian beauty standards. She hopes to portray the darkness within the world of makeup and beauty. The poem revolves around red lipstick as she wants to give this makeup a voice of its own. This story is based on Mala's own relationship with makeup and struggling with the heavy beauty standards placed on young women. She wishes to shine a light on the dichotomy between light and dark that has been created by the beauty industry.
